- John Luke Story
John‐Luke was born at 23 weeks
gestation weighing 1 lb 13 oz and only 13.9 inches long at Tampa General
Hospital.
During his 115 day stay in the NICU, he required two surfactant
treatments in order to keep his lungs from sticking together.
Due to the
funding and research from March of Dimes, along with the amazing doctors and
nurses of TGH's NICU, our little boy survived!!
He is now 20 months old (16
months adjusted) at almost 25lbs and 31 inches long. He is meeting his goals,
gaining weight, and
thriving.
thriving.
Even though we still battle chronic lung disease, we are currently
coming off oxygen little by little. Thank you March of Dimes for helping all
the little Miracles out there like ours.
